Proposal Navigator® Supports ‘Outstanding’ Rated Key Personnel Resumes
In my December 2014 article, I described Proposal Navigator®’s Keyword/Keyphrase Search utility and how we’d applied it to Key Personnel resumes in a proposal response.
To recap, the RFP applied multiple SOW paragraphs as minimum requirements to each of the Key Personnel resumes. Accordingly, we loaded all of the keyword/keyphrase requirements from the associated SOW paragraphs into Proposal Navigator® so they could be quickly and reliably compared (in seconds)—using an automated software utility vice human eyes—to the words used in the resumes. Outputs from utility execution include a tabular report (keyword/keyphrase vs. number of times found) and a copy of the resume document visually showing blue highlights where keywords/keyphrases were located.
As you would expect, the first of several iterations showed many keyword/keyphrase requirements did not appear at all in the resumes. This unwanted situation was indicated by tablular reports with “0” times found, and not many blue highlighted words shown in the resume copies. Using the concise utility feedback over several update iterations, we confirmed 100% coverage of requirements. Another benefit of the blue highlights (or lack thereof) is that it indicated areas of the resumes which were not responsive to requirements, which could be removed or significantly chopped back with little to no downside risk.
This innovative process and Proposal Navigator® tool efficiencies add productive work days to your constrained proposal development timelines.
