June 2014: Proposal Navigator® Keyword Utility Searches All RFP Documents Simultaneously
One of the great features of Proposal Navigator® is the database. It organizes and holds many thousands of records shredded out from various reference documents, such as from capture (e.g. themes, Customer Musts) and RFP sources (e.g. A-H, L, M, SOWs). Further, because developing proposal documents are organized much like SOWs (i.e. having paragraph numbers, titles, and subordinate text), Proposal Navigator®'s database will also hold proposal documents after a few minutes of shred-out and import. Why is this important ? Because we know that the Government uses word search techniques when evaluating proposals. Accordingly, we must ensure that we use the customer's evaluation criteria words and phrases in our proposal documents so they can be found easily. For example, if section M evaluation criteria asks for operations across "multiple classification levels," we need to know where and how often in our proposal we used (or did not use) this phrase, so appropriate corrective action may be taken. These questions can be accurately answered in seconds (not hours or days) using Proposal Navigator®'s database and Keyword Search utility. Its output report shows in-context use of the desired keyword/keyphrase in every occurrence across all user-selected documents within the database. Using these process and tool innovation efficiencies, the Keyword Search and other Proposal Navigator® features add productive work days to your constrained proposal development timelines.
